Was the last toucan you saw on a box of cereal? View the real thing as you peacefully float along the Belize River. But there's so much more to this tour than breakfast icons! Do Mayan Ruins tickle your fancy? Or maybe ancient medicinal secrets? All will be revealed on this journey.

After a scenic drive through the Farms and Villages of the Western Highway, you board your motorized canoe that will take you up the river to the Panti Maya Medicinal Trail. Along the high limestone cliffs of the Macal Branch of the Belize River, you look for parrots, toucans and iguanas, as they perch from trees along the river banks.

At the Panti Trail, your guide will point out plants and herbs still used by Belizeans for medicinal purposes. After lunch, you start your return to Belize City, with a stop at Cahal Pech Maya ruins. There you can see a small archaeological site with corbel arch rooms dating back to 1000 BC.
