This tour has the perfect combination... beaches, nature and adventure. Experience the quiet village atmosphere, amazing beaches with tall white sand dunes or take a break and relax in the hammock and listen to the waves crashing near you. Mangue Seco is 220 km far from Salvador in the extreme north of Bahia. It is located on the edge of a peninsula between the sea and the river among mangrove swamps. There is no access roads to the destination, so a crossing of the "Real River," which separates the states of Bahia and Sergipe, and is done in a enclosed canoes. Once on the other side of the river you will take a buggy car for a 40 minute ride around the tall white sand dunes with stops for photographs before finishing the ride at the beach. Spend time at the beach swimming or relaxing while having access to restaurants, showers, and hammocks.
The tour will leave the beach at 3:00pm and head to the village to visit Tieta's House (famous character of a Jorge Amado's novel) where you can have some ice-cream, or enjoy an optional tour that returns to Salvador at 4:00pm.
