Edmonton AB which is thought to have been inhabited since 3,000 B.C but was officially established as a city in 1795 is ideally located along the North Saskatchewan River. Found within the province of Alberta, Edmonton AB is home to over 1,040,000 residents. Well known as the capital of the Alberta province, Edmonton AB is located approximately 298 kilometres away from Calgary AB and 420 kilometres away from Banff AB. Set at an elevation of 2,192 feet, Edmonton AB features a northern continental climate wish as many as 2,289 hours of sunshine throughout the year.

Edmonton AB is well known for its annual festivals and events and the Capital EX festival is one of the city's most well known. Officially known as the The Capital City Exhibition but originally known as Klondike Gold-rush this festival takes place each July. The streets of Edmonton AB come to life during this exciting ten day festival with dancing, chuckwagon races and fireworks. Edmonton AB boasts many other festivals throughout the year and the Edmonton Heritage Festival is a great way to learn about the city's culture. Starting in August the festival runs for three days with admission being free.

One of Edmonton's most visited buildings is the Alberta Legislature Building. The Alberta Legislature Building dates back to 1907 and features architecture of Egyptian, Greek and Roman influences. Edmonton AB is home to many successful actors, musicians and athletes but is especially well known as being the home town of Michael J. Fox.
