The conditions are so well known in this area that Whistler is set to host the 2010 Winter Olympics which was previously held in Calgary AB. There are two main popular skiing destinations with the obvious being the Whistler mountain and the Blackcomb Mountain with the highest vertical drop being 7,347 feet.
Travelling to Whistler BC is simple with regular buses travelling to the Ski Resort but if you are travelling in a group its a great idea to hire a car. Hiring a car will also give you the freedom to stop and enjoy some of the regions hot spots along the way.
