The country of Comoros is made up of four main islands Ngazidja, Mwali, Nzwani and Mahoré plus many smaller islands and is situated in the Indian Ocean, just off the eastern coast of Africa. It's capital city Moroni is located on Ngazidja and is the largest city in Comoros.

In 1975 Comoros gained independence from France and there are now 711,417 people living in the country. The most commonly spoken languages are French and Arabic and the most popular religion is Sunni Islam which is followed by 98% of the population.
