Nuweiba which is overshadowed by the Sinai mountains can be found at the eastern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. There is much to see and do while you are visiting Nuweiba ranging from exploring the nearby Mount Sinai to snorkelling through the beautiful reefs.
Another place of interest is known as the Monastery of St Katherine and you will find the monastery at the edge of Mount Sinai. The Monastery of St Katherine dates back to 527 A.D and it is in the monastery's museum that you will be able to see a vast display of historical artefacts.
If you are an active person then spending some time exploring the nearby Mount Sinai is a must when visiting Nuweiba. It is at the summit of Mount Sinai that you will be able really appreciate and take in the spectacular views from the mountain. Travelling to Nuweiba is not as easy as other destinations but is definitely worth the effort. You can choose to travel via boat from Jordan or by bus from Cairo or Dahab.
