Eilat, which is thought to have been inhabited since 8,000 B.C.E is and is well known for its close proximity to the Red Sea. Eilat is also closely neighboured by Taba in Egypt and is home to approximately 55,000 residents. Eilat attracts many visitors each year and is one of the few places where one can cross borders between two countries.

Eilat is closely neighboured by the Negev desert and your trip to Eilat would not be complete without joining in on a local tour of the desert. After visiting the desert a great way to cool down is by exploring the local reef of Coral Beach. Here you will be able to view many interesting displays of wildlife and coral.

There are also many restaurants to choose from when visiting Eilat but it is the city's floating restaurant that is the most popular place to be. Travelling to Eilat is simple with the local airport being located just minutes from the city, but it is also possible to travel to Eilat via bus or car.
