Kenya is located between Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Somalia and Ethiopa and found in east Africa bordering the Indian Ocean. The Kenyan population is just over 31,500,000 people with there being a fairly even amount of followers of the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim religions. Swahili and English are the two official languages spoken in Kenya.

Safari's originated in Kenya as safari is the Swahili word for journey and many safaris run all year round. Nairobi, Kenya's capital city, is interesting, lively and the central business district. Visiting Nairobi is the perfect way to get the feel of urban African lifetstyle and is the largest city between Johannesburg in South Africa and Cairo in Egypt.

Kenya shares the borders of Lake Victoria with Tanzania and Uganda and is also the main reservoir of the Nile River.

More than half of population are poor with over 7.5 million living in extreme poverty conditions. The agricultural industry only provides around 29 percent of the economy which employs about 75 percent of the population. The main agricultural produces are coffee, tea, corn, wheat, suguarcane, fruit and vegetables, as well as beef, pork and dairy products. Kenya's main export partners are Uganda, Tanzania, Uk and Germany. The official currency is the Kenyan shilling.
