Macau is home to approximately 456,990 people and the main languages spoken are Portuguese and Chinese. The best way to get to Macau is by flying into Hong Kong and from there you would catch a ferry to Macau. Macau also has an international airport situated on Taipa Island.
Macau is a city filled with a variety of Portuguese and Chinese monuments and is an extremely fascinating city. Macau boasts many historical temples, fortresses, churches and museums. Be sure to visit the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History and the Taipa houses Museum. One of the best ways to see all of Macau at once is by visiting the Macau Tower.
While you are at Macau be sure to visit the ruins of Saint Paul's Cathedral which was built in the 1600s, not far from here you will find the Na-Tcha Temple that is definitely worth exploring. For shopping Rua da Felicidade is a fascinating place to begin as it was originally a red light district.
