Mozambique is located in southeast Africa and is bordered by South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania and the Mozambique Channel in the Indian Ocean. There are around 21,397,000 people living in Mozambique with around 1,000,000 of those living in it's capital city Maputo which lies on a cliff of the coast of the Mozambique Channel/Indian Ocean. Mozambique's offical language is Portuguese which is spoken by 27% of the population as a second language. More commonly spoken is Emakhuwa and other Mozambican languages. Mozambican people mainly follow Christian, Muslim or Indigenous beliefs.

Maputo is a relaxing place to visit and has many cafes. The Bazaruto Archipelago National Park is one of the most popular places in Mozambique. It consists of five islands: Bazaruto, Benguera, Magaruque, Santa Carolina and Bangué which boast beautiful beaches and animals.

Its highest peak is Monte Binga which is located near the border of Zimbabwe in the Chimanimani Transfrontier in the province of Manica. Monte Binga rises to over 2,436 metres is an amazing sight to see. Mozambique has over 25 rivers that flow through the country into the Indian Ocean, and is the home to the fourth longest river in Africa. The Zambezi River is located in the middle of Mozambique and flow for over 820 kilometres.

Over 35 pecent of the economy comes from the agricultural industry which employs over 80 percent of the population. Mozambique exports over 40 percent of prawns, as well as plent of cashews, sugarcane, sea, corn, rice, as well as beef and poultry. The official currency is the Metical.
