Willemstad which is the capital city of the Netherlands Antilles can be found on Curacao Island. Curacao Island is situated off the north coast of Venezuela within the Caribbean Sea. First inhabited back in 1634, Willemstad is home to approximately 125,000 people and is divided into two sections of Punda and Otrobanda.

Punda and Otrobanda are split by St Anna Bay which is an inlet that flows into Schottegat harbour. Willemstad is a very pretty city and has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. The architecture of Willemstad is of Dutch origin with many colonial buildings.
