Cincinnati which has been inhabited since 1788 can be found in south western Ohio in Hamilton County. Cincinnati is home to over 332,300 residents and is in fact the third largest city in the state. The architecture of Cincinnati is of particular interest with a number of historical buildings worth visiting.

It is in the city square where one of Cincinnati's oldest monuments is centred. Known as the Tyler Davidson Fountain this beautiful structure dates back to 1871. Also known as The Genius of Water and constructed of cast bronze with a granite base this well visited statue is 43 feet high.

Also worth visiting is the Isaac M. Wise Temple which was built back in 1865 with the architecture being of Germanic influences. One of Cincinnati's national historic landmarks is the Carew Tower which is the city's tallest building. Carew Tower is of French Art Deco architecture and is home to a popular shopping centre.

Cincinnati has been featured by the media in a variety of forms and has even been the setting for many classic films.

There is plenty happening each year in the bustling city ranging from jazz festivals to flower shows. Without a doubt the Findlay Market is the most well known event in Cincinnati and has been running since 1852. Held each Saturday from March until December, the market showcases a variety of fresh produce from local farmers.

Getting to Cincinnati is easy with the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport being located just fourteen miles away from the city.
