General Information about Clarksville VA

Known as Clarksville since 1818 and home to just over one thousand three hundred residents can be found within the state of Virginia. Clarksville was originally named after Clarke Royster is apart of the Mecklenburg County.

One of the area's main outdoor attractions is Kerr Lake which is an artificial lake that was built back in 1952. Camping, boating and fishing are the two main activities of Kerr Lake.

Clarksville is famous for its annual festival known as the Virginia Lake Festival which has been running since 1977. This popular event draws crowds from all over the nation and is filled with festivities such as hot air balloon rides, helicopter rides with the grand finale being the popular fireworks display.
